Account Closure Process and Steps
1. Zero Out Account Balance: Before proceeding with the account closure, it's essential to bring your account balance down to zero. Please note that we cannot initiate the closure process for accounts with a positive balance. We recommend transferring any remaining balance to an external bank account to ensure a seamless closure process.
2. Transferring Funds from Sesame Cash Account: To transfer funds out of your Sesame Cash account, follow these steps on the Credit Sesame Mobile app:
- Log in to your account via the app.
- Tap the Cash $ button located at the bottom center of the screen's navigation bar.
- Click "Bank Transfers".
- Select your bank account and sign in.
- On the next screen, enter the amount you wish to transfer. A bidirectional arrow button will appear after you enter the amount.
- Tap this button to switch the direction of the transfer ("From Sesame Cash" to "To ...").
- Click Continue.
- Confirm the transfer.
Please note that this transfer will take 3-5 business days to process.
3. Initiate Account Closure: After ensuring your account balance is zero, use this link to access the Sesame Cash Account Closure Form. This link will initiate the automated closure process for your Sesame Cash Account.
4. Credit Sesame Account: Remember, closing your Sesame Cash Account won't impact your Credit Sesame account. If you intend to close your free or premium Credit Sesame account as well, follow the steps outlined on the "How Do I Cancel & Close My Account?" page.
